Saverio Pertoldi
Saverio Pertoldi was born in 1958 into a farming family, where he gained experience in managing a small traditional agricultural enterprise with a cattle barn and the usual crops typical of the Middle Friuli region, including tobacco and vineyards.
As the family farm was too small, after completing technical-commercial high school, he pursued an office job that continued until retirement, while also continuing to collaborate in agricultural work.
In the early 1980s, he became acquainted with biodynamic agriculture, which he deepened over time. Since the 1990s, he has been conducting informative courses on the biodynamic method in collaboration with the Friuli Section of the Biodynamic Agriculture Association, of which he has always been an active member.
Since 2002, he has converted the remaining five hectares of the family farm to biodynamic methods with organic certification, dedicating all arable land to cereal and legume rotation.
Over the past decade, he has focused on delving into social issues, particularly exploring possible alternatives to current social structures, based on the principles of Rudolf Steiner's Tripartite Social Organism. Finally, since 2023, he has served as the president of a cooperative managing an organic products store.
